Here are some promised photos. They are from the trip over here and from some of the time we have spent in kuwait. The one behind the fence is from out stop-over in germany when we were waiting for the plane to be serviced. The one of me in the dark is in Kuwait waiting for the bus after we got off the plane. I think the others are self-explanatory.

weapons and stuff
I know you all need to run around with guns.. the rifles danglin with you all the time, but, why does the one guy have just a side arm? why do you sling your rifle low and the other two dudes sling it high?
I would have always with my one or more knives.. i am a knife fan, of course you never want to be faced with a kill by knife for the memories would be right up there in the comments from the movie, 'the last samurai' when they were standing in the garden by the apple blossems and talking about being a warrior.
However, knives dont jam and can be used as many other tool applications.. i would have my 'food only' knife, a big ass SOG or some such, and spare Kanto blade or somekind.... plus do the side arms over the rifle, carry the eguiv in wieght of the rifle in two handguns and more amo
what are your side arm options? 9mm, 357, or 45? ... two 45 semis and a big knife... yeah... thats what I would do... but I am just a redneck hick from the northeast
i mean when you biff your bird (crashes happen, just like in motorcycling) and you jump and run... isn't it harder to snag a rifle compared to sidearms straped on your person?
remmber, when boom boom's go off, yell FUCK LUCK and DUCK!
hey, someday, you and I have to go tour the caspian and Turkey and run up through into Tuscany on some big KTM or BMW tour bikes, so keep that in mind sir!

I have a son in law that has just arrived at camp buering ...he is a blackhawk pilot in the 101st ...I see you are the 101st ?.....can you tell me which unit ??? I understand if you can't ...an old viet nam vet .....
